In a strong demonstration of intensified anti-criminality efforts, the Northern Police District (NPD) apprehended three drug suspects, including a listed drug personality, in separate operations on August 5, 2025, resulting in the confiscation of approximately 11.1 grams of suspected shabu with a total estimated Standard Drug Price (SDP) of โฑ75,480.00.
In Caloocan City, a man identified only as Marlon, 33, was arrested by Amparo Police Sub-station 15, Caloocan City Police Station under the direct supervision of Police Colonel Joey T. Goforth, Officer-in-Charge, at around 12:30 AM along Crispulo Street, Brgy. 180. Acting on a tip from a barangay tanod about a knife-wielding individual, police officers responded and found the suspect holding a 10-inch butterfly knife. Upon his arrest, authorities recovered a sachet containing an estimated 4.8 grams of suspected shabu valued at โฑ32,640.00. The suspect, who is also facing violations of Article 155 of the Revised Penal Code and B.P. 6 (Illegal Possession of Deadly Weapon), was taken to Caloocan City Medical Center for a medical examination before processing.
Shortly after, in Malabon City, Sub-Station 1 personnel under the leadership of Police Colonel Allan B. Umipig, Acting Chief of Police, arrested alias Buchoy, a 30-year-old male, at Barangay Potrero at around 12:50 AM. The suspect was caught in the act while examining a sachet of suspected shabu. Recovered from his possession was 1.0 gram of the illegal substance with a street value of โฑ6,800.00.
In a follow-up operation at around 2:20 AM, Pilay, a 48-year-old listed drug personality, was nabbed in a buy-bust operation conducted by the SDEU-Malabon CPS along General Luna corner Bernales Streets, Brgy. San Baritan. The operation, coordinated with the PDEA, led to the confiscation of three sachets containing 5.3 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated value of โฑ36,040.00.
All suspects are now under police custody, and appropriate charges are being prepared for filing.
This accomplishment highlights the effectiveness of the National Capital Region Police Office’s (NCRPO) AAA StrategyโAble, Active, and Alliedโa holistic approach to reducing crime and apprehending wanted persons.
