In a decisive joint operation, operatives from the District Special Operations Unit (DSOU) of the Northern Police District, under the direct supervision of Police Lieutenant Colonel June C. Guinayen, OIC, DSOU, successfully arrested a 32-year-old male suspect wanted for multiple counts of rape and sexual assault. The operation was conducted in coordination with the Northern District Intelligence Team โ€“ Regional Intelligence Unit (NDIT-RIU), Tumauini Municipal Police Station of Isabela PPO, and the Women and Children Protection Desk of Caloocan City Police Station.

The suspect, identified as the No. 3 Top Ten Most Wanted Person (TTMWP) at both the Regional Level of NCRPO and the District Level of NPD, was apprehended at around 10:00 PM on August 4, 2025, in Brgy. 176, Caloocan City. He is also listed as the No. 4 TTMWP at the Station Level of CCPS for August 2025. The suspect was turned over to the DSOU office at approximately 11:30 PM on the same date.

The arrest was made by virtue of a Warrant of Arrest issued by the Hon. Ma. Teresa De Guzman Alvarez, Presiding Judge of RTC Branch 131, Caloocan City, for violations of Article 266-A(1)(A) of the Revised Penal Code (Rape โ€“ 2 counts) and Sexual Assault. No bail was recommended for the two rape charges, while a Php 120,000 bail was recommended for the sexual assault charge. The arrest was properly documented using an Alternative Recording Device (ARD).

Following the arrest, the suspect was immediately brought to the Caloocan City Medical Center (CCMC) for a medical and physical examination. He was then turned over to the Northern Police District Custodial Facility Unit (NPDCFU) for temporary detention. The return of the warrant of arrest is now being prepared for formal submission to the issuing court.

This accomplishment highlights the effectiveness of the National Capital Region Police Officeโ€™s (NCRPO) AAA Strategyโ€”Able, Active, and Alliedโ€”a holistic approach to reducing crime and apprehending wanted persons. By enhancing operational capabilities, conducting proactive law enforcement, and fostering community partnerships, the NCRPO, led by Police Major General Anthony A. Aberin, continues to ensure safer communities across Metro Manila.
