A 42-year-old male drug suspect was arrested early this morning, April 16, 2025, during a buy-bust operation along Phase 4, Package 6, Barangay 176, Caloocan City.

The suspect was caught in the act of selling illegal drugs and was found in possession of around 21 grams of suspected shabu, with an estimated street value of Php 142,800.00. The operation was carried out at about 7:22 AM by the operatives of the Northern Police District Drug Enforcement Unit (NPD-DDEU), led by PLTCOL Timothy B. Aniway, Jr., in coordination with PDEA and Sub-Station 12 of Caloocan City Police Station under the supervision of PCOL Paul Jady D. Doles, Chief of Police.

The operation was covered by PDEA Coordination. Confiscated evidence was properly marked and will be turned over to the NPD Forensic Unit for laboratory examination.

A formal complaint for violation of Sections 5 and 11, Article II of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 will be filed against the suspect through an inquest proceeding before the City Prosecutorโ€™s Office.

This accomplishment underscores the effectiveness of NCRPOโ€™s AAA Strategyโ€”Able, Active, and Alliedโ€”a holistic approach to reducing crime and combating illegal drug activities. By enhancing skills, launching proactive operations, and building strong community partnerships, the NCRPO continues its mission to ensure safer neighborhoods across Metro Manila under the leadership of Police Major General Anthony A. Aberin, Regional Director of NCRPO.

Police Brigadier General Josefino D. Ligan, District Director of the Northern Police District, commended the operating units for their swift and well-coordinated action. He reaffirmed NPDโ€™s full support in the campaign against illegal drugs, emphasizing the districtโ€™s commitment to a safer and drug-free CAMANAVA area.
