Navotas City — A man armed with a firearm was arrested during a Simultaneous Anti-Criminality Law Enforcement Operation (SACLEO) conducted along Greenzone, R-10, Barangay North Bay Boulevard North, Navotas City at around 11:45 PM on May 10, 2025. The suspect a 36 years old, single, resident of Navotas City,

According to initial investigation, the victim was walking home when she encountered the suspect who was visibly carrying a gun. The suspect allegedly pointed the firearm at her and shouted threatening words. Out of fear, the victim fled and was able to seek help from police officers who were then conducting covert monitoring operations in relation to the upcoming elections.

The alert officers quickly responded and accosted the suspect, leading to his immediate arrest. Seized from him was one (1) cal. .38 revolver without serial number and two (2) live ammunition. The confiscated firearm and ammunition were marked accordingly.

The arrested person is now in police custody and will be presented to the City Prosecutor’s Office for inquest proceedings for charges of Grave Threats and violations of Republic Act No. 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act) and Batas Pambansa Blg. 881 (Omnibus Election Code).
