Malabon City – In a decisive law enforcement operation, the Northern Police District (NPD) arrested a 35-year-old male suspect, known by the alias “Potpot,” during the implementation of Search Warrant for violation of Section 28 of Republic Act 10591, also known as the Comprehensive Law on Firearms and Ammunition Act.
At around 11:05 PM on May 28, 2025, personnel of the Station Intelligence Section (SIS) of the Malabon City Police Station, executed the search warrant at Barangay Longos, Malabon City, issued by Hon. Judge Rosario G. Inez-Pinzon of RTC Branch 290, Malabon City.
The implementation of the search warrant resulted in the successful arrest of the suspect at about 1:20 AM on May 29, 2025. The suspect, a janitor and resident of Barangay Longos Malabon City, was found in possession of one (1) unit .38 caliber revolver, silver with a brown handle and without serial number, marked “ESS” by the seizing officer, along with three (3) pieces of .38 caliber live ammunition, marked “ESS-1,” “ESS-2,” and “ESS-3.”
The suspect was immediately brought to the custody of the Station Investigation and Detective Management Section (SIDMS). The arrested suspect is now facing appropriate charges for illegal possession of firearms and ammunition.

Police Brigadier General Josefino D Ligan, District Director of the Northern Police District, also commended the Malabon City Police Station for their swift and professional action that ensured the safety and security of the community.
