Malabon City — A 33-year-old male suspect, alias “Jun,” was immediately arrested following a hacking incident that left a 38-year-old construction worker wounded in Barangay Hulong-Duhat, Malabon City, in the early hours of June 16, 2025.

According to reports, the incident occurred at around 1:00 AM at Barangay Hulong Duhat. Barangay Tanods in coordination with personnel from Police Sub-Station 7, promptly responded after receiving information about the violent altercation. Upon arrival, the responding officers witnessed the bloodied victim running for help while being pursued by the enraged suspect armed with a 12-inch butcher knife.

The suspect was quickly subdued and arrested on-site. The weapon was confiscated from his possession. The victim sustained multiple lacerated wounds on his head and forearm and was immediately brought to Tondo Medical Center for treatment. He is now reported to be in stable condition.

The suspect will face charges for Attempted Homicide, violation of Batas Pambansa Bilang 6 (Illegal Possession of Deadly Weapons), and Alarms and Scandals.
