Malabon City – June 17, 2025 — Through the swift and coordinated response of Malabon City Police Station operatives, a 26-year-old male suspect was arrested just minutes after committing a robbery-snatching incident early Tuesday morning at Barangay Santulan Malabon City.
The suspect, identified only as a 26-year-old male resident of Barangay Panghulo, Malabon City, was caught shortly after snatching the mobile phone of the 26-year-old victim, a female repacker at an online store from Navotas City, who was then waiting for a passenger jeep.
Personnel of Sub-Station 3 were conducting police visibility along M.H. Del Pilar Street when the victim ran to them and reported the incident. The personnel of Sub-Station 3 immediately launched a hot pursuit operation that led to the successful arrest of the suspect and recovery of the stolen item: a Tecno Spark cellular phone (lime green), valued at Php 4,000.00.
The recovered item has been marked and documented for evidentiary purposes. The accused is currently under police custody and will be facing appropriate charges for robbery.
