Caloocan City — a 34-year-old man was arrested late evening of June 24, 2025, during a routine foot patrol conducted by personnel of Cadena de Amor Police Sub-Station 11, Caloocan City Police Station, after he was caught holding a loaded firearm in public.

The incident happened around 11:55 P.M. at Barangay 175, Camarin. While patrolling the area as part of anti-criminality efforts, the police operatives spotted a male individual sitting by the alley and inspecting a revolver. Upon approach, authorities confirmed the presence of a caliber .38 revolver loaded with two live rounds ammunition.

The suspect was immediately arrested on-site for violation of Republic Act 10591 or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act. He was informed of his rights in a language he understands and was later turned over to IDMS-North at around 12:30 A.M. the following day for proper documentation and filing of charges. He is now under custody and facing inquest proceedings.

Police Brigadier General Arnold E Abad, Acting District Director of the Northern Police District (NPD), commended the Caloocan City Police Station for their quick and efficient response which led to the arrest.
