A man was arrested in a joint anti-criminality and illegal drugs operation by the Caloocan City Police Station after he was caught in possession of a firearm and suspected shabu early morning of June 24, 2025, at Barangay 171, Caloocan City.

At around 1:00 AM, personnel of Congressional Police Sub-Station 9 were conducting patrol duties when a concerned citizen approached and reported that an individual had threatened him with a firearm. Responding immediately, the police proceeded to the area where they spotted the suspect. Upon being confronted and instructed to halt, the suspect attempted to flee, prompting a short chase that led to his arrest.

Recovered from the suspect’s possession were:

One (1) Caliber .45 pistol;

One (1) magazine loaded with five (5) live ammunitions; and

One (1) heat-sealed plastic sachet containing approximately 7.0 grams of suspected shabu, with an estimated street value of Php 47,600.00

Charges for Grave Threats (Art. 282), Resistance and Disobedience (Art. 151), Illegal Possession of Firearms and Ammunitions (RA 10591), and Possession of Illegal Drugs (Sec. 11, Art. II, RA 9165) will be filed against the arrested individual, who is now under police custody.

The suspect underwent a medical examination at Caloocan City Medical Center before being turned over to the Investigation and Detective Management Section (IDMS) and Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) of Caloocan City Police Station for proper disposition.
