Through a coordinated manhunt operation, operatives of the Northern Police District–District Anti-Carnapping Unit (NPD-DACU), in collaboration with the San Simon Municipal Police Station, successfully arrested alias “Jay-Jay”, a 31-year-old male resident of Barangay Sto. Niño, San Simon, Pampanga.
The accused, ranked as Top 2 Most Wanted Person of the San Simon Municipal Police Station, was apprehended at around 2:30 PM by virtue of a warrant of arrest for Qualified Rape of a Minor Through Sexual Assault, issued by Hon. Katherine Legarda Pajaron, Presiding Judge of RTC Branch 54, Macabebe, Pampanga, with a recommended bail of ₱200,000.00.
During the arrest, the accused was properly informed of the nature of his case and his constitutional rights in a language he fully understood but opted to remain silent. The operation was documented using an Alternative Recording Device (ARD), adhering to legal procedures.
The accused is now under the custody of the San Simon Municipal Police Station for the return of the warrant and proper disposition.
