In a series of intensified anti-drug operations conducted by the Northern Police District (NPD), three individuals—including a newly identified high-value target—were arrested and a total of 27.2 grams of suspected shabu with a Standard Drug Price (SDP) of Php 184,960.00 were confiscated.
In Malabon City, operatives of Sub-Station 2 of Malabon CPS arrested alias ”JR”, male, 34, for Violation of Sec. 11, Art. II of R.A. 9165 (Possession of Dangerous Drugs). The suspect was caught in the act of examining a heat-sealed plastic sachet containing suspected shabu while loitering along P. Aquino Avenue, Barangay Tugatog Malabon City. Seized from him was 1.0 gram of shabu valued at Php 6,800.00.
Meanwhile, in Barangay 160, Caloocan City, a buy-bust operation conducted by operatives of Caloocan City Police Station – Station Drug Enforcement Unit (CCPS – DDEU) led to the arrest of alias “Judy”, female, 42, a newly identified high-value target (HVI), for Violations of Sections 5 and 11, Article II of R.A. 9165. Confiscated during the operation were two sachets of suspected shabu with a combined weight of 25 grams and an estimated SDP of Php 170,000.00, along with marked and boodle money used in the transaction.
Additionally, at Barangay 173, Caloocan City, a routine anti-criminality patrol resulted in the arrest of a female, 39 years old who was found in possession of 1.2 grams of suspected shabu worth Php 8,160.00. The suspect was apprehended after her male companion fled the scene during a suspected drug exchange.
This accomplishment underscores the effectiveness of the NCRPO’s AAA Strategy—Able, Active, and Allied—a holistic approach to reducing crime and apprehending wanted persons. By enhancing operational capabilities, conducting proactive law enforcement, and fostering community partnerships, the NCRPO, under the leadership of Police Major General Anthony A Aberin, remains committed to ensuring safer communities across Metro Manila.
Police Brigadier General Jerry V Protacio, Acting District Director of NPD, commended the arresting officers for their vigilance and coordination: “This arrest demonstrates our unrelenting commitment to justice and public safety. Our operatives, together with our partner agencies, continue to work tirelessly to locate and apprehend individuals who attempt to evade the law.”
All arrested individuals are now under police custody and appropriate charges are being prepared for filing in accordance with R.A. 9165.
