In a significant accomplishment in the campaign against wanted individuals, operatives of the Northern Police District (NPD) successfully apprehended a rape suspect tagged as the #6 Top Most Wanted Person (District Level) and #3 (Station Level) for July 2025.
At around 11:30 PM on July 25, 2025, a manhunt operation conducted by personnel of the Warrant and Subpoena Section, resulted in the arrest of an 18-year-old male suspect at Barangay 188, Caloocan City. The arrest was executed by virtue of a Warrant of Arrest for the crime of Rape issued by Hon. Barbara Aleli Hernandez Briones, Presiding Judge of Regional Trial Court Branch 1, Caloocan City, dated May 30, 2025, with no bail recommended.
In adherence to the Rules on the Use of Body-Worn Cameras in the Execution of Warrants (A.M. No. 21-06-08-SC), an Alternative Recording Device (ARD)โa Xiaomi 14T Pro was used during the arrest to ensure transparency and accountability.
Following the arrest, the suspect was brought to Caloocan City Medical Center for medical and physical examination, and was subsequently turned over to the Investigation and Detective Management Section – Warrant and Subpoena Section (IDMS-WSS) for temporary detention and documentation for the return of the warrant to the court of origin.
This accomplishment underscores the effectiveness of the NCRPOโs AAA StrategyโAble, Active, and Alliedโa holistic approach to reducing crime and apprehending wanted persons. By enhancing operational capabilities, conducting proactive law enforcement, and fostering community partnerships, the NCRPO, under the leadership of Police Major General Anthony A Aberin, remains committed to ensuring safer communities across Metro Manila.
