In a successful entrapment operation conducted on the evening of July 25, 2025, operatives from the Intelligence Section of the Caloocan City Police Station arrested a 21-year-old male suspect for violation of Section 32, R.A. 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act) after selling an unlicensed firearm to an undercover police officer.
The operation, resulted in the apprehension of the suspect at Barangay 175, Camarin, Caloocan City.
The suspect, a resident of the same area, sold a caliber .22 revolver with serial number 15131 and two live ammunition to a poseur buyer in exchange for Php 3,000.00 in marked money. The transaction included one genuine โฑ500 bill and five boodle โฑ500 bills. Arresting officers PMSg Robbie P Vasquez and PCpl Rudymel S Romblon immediately took custody of the suspect following the successful transaction.

The suspect was brought to the Caloocan City Medical Center for medical examination before being transferred to the Intelligence Section for proper documentation and filing of appropriate charges.
