In its relentless campaign against illegal drugs, the Northern Police District (NPD) recorded another significant milestone with the arrest of four individuals during separate anti-drug operations and warrant implementation across Caloocan, Navotas, and Valenzuela Cities on July 26โ€“27, 2025. The operations resulted in the confiscation of a total of approximately 15.72 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated Standard Drug Price (SDP) value of Php106,896.00.

In Caloocan City, a 26-year-old male construction worker was apprehended for resisting arrest and possessing approximately 0.4 grams of shabu in Brgy. 176C, Bagong Silang. The suspect fled upon being approached by patrolling officers from SS13, CCPS, but was eventually caught after a brief foot chase. A plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance believed to be shabu was recovered.

Later that evening, a 41-year-old male was arrested at Zamora Compound, Brgy. 172, Urduja, after being spotted loitering by personnel of Sub-Station 8. A voluntary body inspection led to the recovery of 3 grams of suspected shabu from the suspectโ€™s clothing. Both suspects were turned over to the Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) of CCPS for proper disposition.

Meanwhile, in Navotas City, a 50-year-old male listed as a street-level drug pusher (SLI) was arrested in a buy-bust operation along Judge Street, Brgy. San Roque. The suspect, known as “Atong”, was caught selling suspected shabu and was found in possession of 7.32 grams of the illegal substance, along with marked buy-bust money. The operation was spearheaded by SDEU-NCPS and coordinated with PDEA.

In a separate enforcement action in Valenzuela City, police implemented a search warrant at Building 35, Unit 7, Disiplina Village, Brgy. Ugong, which resulted in the arrest of a 23-year-old male construction worker. The suspect, tagged as an SLI, was found in possession of approximately 5 grams of suspected shabu and several drug paraphernalia. The search yielded multiple sachets of shabu, aluminum foils, and a lighter used for drug consumption.

This accomplishment underscores the effectiveness of the NCRPOโ€™s AAA Strategyโ€”Able, Active, and Alliedโ€”a holistic approach to reducing crime and apprehending wanted persons. By enhancing operational capabilities, conducting proactive law enforcement, and fostering community partnerships, the NCRPO, under the leadership of Police Major General Anthony A Aberin, remains committed to ensuring safer communities across Metro Manila.

Police Brigadier General Jerry V Protacio, Acting District Director of the Northern Police District, lauded the arresting teams for their dedication and coordination: โ€œThis arrest demonstrates our unrelenting commitment to justice and public safety. Our operatives, together with our partner agencies, continue to work tirelessly to locate and apprehend individuals who attempt to evade the law.โ€

All arrested suspects are currently in police custody and will face appropriate charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 (RA 9165).
