Caloocan City – In a decisive anti-drug operation, operatives of the Northern Police District – District Drug Enforcement Unit (NPD-DDEU) led by PLTCOL Timothy B Aniway, Chief DDEU, successfully arrested a 54-year-old male high-value individual (HVI), also known as “Boss,” for violating Sections 5 and 11 of RA 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).

The buy-bust operation was conducted at around 4:27 AM on February 24, 2025, at Phase 3, Package 2, Lot 1, Block 52, Barangay 176, Bagong Silang, Caloocan City. The suspect, a resident of Barangay 176, Caloocan City, was apprehended after selling illegal drugs to an undercover operative.

Law enforcement seized approximately 320 grams of suspected shabu valued at Php2,176,000.00 based on the standard drug price. The confiscated drug evidence was properly marked and documented at the scene, ensuring strict adherence to due process and chain of custody procedures.

This accomplishment highlights the successful implementation of the NCRPO’s AAA Strategy—Able, Active, and Allied— a holistic approach to crime reduction and anti-illegal drug operations. Under the able guidance of PBGEN Anthony A Aberin, Acting Regional Director of NCRPO, this strategy has effectively enhanced operational efficiency through skills development, proactive law enforcement, and strengthened community partnerships, ensuring safer neighborhoods across Metro Manila.
