Caloocan City – In a determined effort to bring perpetrators of sexual violence to justice, a most wanted person facing serious sexual assault charges was apprehended in a manhunt operation conducted by the Warrant and Subpoena Section (WSS) of the Caloocan City Police Station (CCPS) under the Northern Police District on March 29, 2025, at approximately 2:50 PM in Barangay 176-E, Bagong Silang, Caloocan City. This arrest demonstrates the unwavering commitment of law enforcement to protect the vulnerable and hold offenders accountable.
The accused, a 65-year-old male, was apprehended by virtue of a warrant of arrest for Sexual Assault (RPC Art. 266-A) in relation to Section 5(B) of R.A. 7610, as amended by R.A. 11648. The warrant, issued by Hon. Barbara Aleli Hernandez Briones of RTC Branch 1, Caloocan City, was dated March 21, 2025, with a recommended bail of Php 180,000.00.
Law enforcement operatives meticulously planned and executed the manhunt, utilizing an Alternative Recording Device (ARD) to document the arrest and ensure adherence to proper procedures. Following the apprehension, the suspect was taken to Caloocan City Medical Center (CCMC) for a thorough medical examination. He was subsequently brought to the Investigation and Detective Management Section (IDMS-WSS) for detention and the preparation of necessary documents for the return of the warrant to the issuing court.
