Caloocan City — In a successful anti-illegal drugs operation conducted in the early hours of April 25, 2025, operatives of the Northern Police District – District Drug Enforcement Unit (NPD-DDEU) arrested two suspected drug pushers in Barangay Bagong Silang, Caloocan City. Confiscated from the suspects were approximately 29 grams of suspected high-grade marijuana/kush and 950 grams of dried marijuana leaves with an estimated standard drug price (SDP) of Php 157,500.00.
Arrested during the buy-bust operation were alias “Andrei,” 24 years old and alias “Mark,” 22 years old both male, single, and residents of Bagong Silang, Caloocan City.
The operation, initiated at around 4:07 AM, was led by PLTCOL Timothy B Aniway, Jr., Chief DDEU, and carried out by NPD-DDEU operatives with support from Sub-Station 12 of the Caloocan City Police Station, under the supervision of Police Colonel Paul Jady D Doles, Chief of Police. The operation was conducted in coordination with Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA).
Recovered from the suspects were multiple packs of suspected marijuana products, which were properly marked and documented at the scene. All confiscated evidence will be submitted to the Northern Police District Forensic Unit for laboratory examination.
The suspects will be face charges for violation of Section 5 (Sale) in relation to Section 26 (Conspiracy), and Section 11 (Possession) of Dangerous Drugs under Article II of Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. A formal complaint will be filed before the City Prosecutor’s Office for inquest proceedings.
