Caloocan City — At around 2:10 AM on May 3, 2025, a 31-year-old individual identified by the alias “Jhon Paul” was arrested during a joint manhunt operation conducted by operatives of the Northern Police District – District Anti-Carnapping Unit (NPD-DACU) and the West Bagong Silang Police Sub-Station, Caloocan City Police Station.
The arrest took place at Phase 7C, Package 7, Barangay 176, Bagong Silang, Caloocan City, by virtue of a warrant of arrest for Violation of RA 9165, Article II, Section 12 (Possession of Drug Paraphernalia), issued by Hon. Lourdes Ma. Teresa De Guzman Alvarez, Presiding Judge of RTC Branch 127, Caloocan City.
The accused was immediately informed of the nature of the arrest and his constitutional rights in a language known to him. He chose to remain silent. An alternative recording device (ARD) was used during the operation to ensure transparency and compliance with standard procedures.
Following the arrest, the suspect was brought to the District Anti-Carnapping Unit for documentation and the proper return of warrant to the issuing court.
