Caloocan City – The Northern Police District (NPD), through the coordinated efforts of the District Special Operations Unit (DSOU), in collaboration with Norther District Intelligence Team – Regional Intelligence Unit (NDIT-RIU, RID-NCRPO), and the Warrant and Subpoena Section of the Caloocan City Police Station (WSS-CCPS), successfully apprehended a Top 5 Most Wanted Person at the Regional Level, listed as No. 1 in the District and No. 2 in the Caloocan City Police Station, the arrest took place during a law enforcement operation conducted at around 8:45 PM on May 5, 2025, along Monumento Circle, East Grace Park, Barangay 86, Caloocan City.

The operation led to the arrest of a 53-year-old male auto mechanic and resident of Quirino Avenue, San Dionisio, Parañaque City. He was wanted for the heinous crime of rape under Article 266-A of the Revised Penal Code. Two Warrants of Arrest were served—one issued by Hon. Barbara Aleli Hernandez Briones of Family Court Branch 1, Caloocan City, and another by Hon. Glenda Callo Marin of RTC Branch 124, Caloocan City. Both warrants carried a “no bail recommended” status, underscoring the gravity of the charges. The warrant service was documented through the use of an Alternative Recording Device (ARD).

After his arrest, the accused was brought to the Caloocan City Medical Center (CCMC) for medical and physical examination, then turned over to the DSOU at around 9:30 PM for proper disposition. The Return of the Warrant is currently being prepared for submission to the respective courts.

This accomplishment underscores the effectiveness of NCRPO’s AAA Strategy—Able, Active, and Allied—a holistic approach to reducing crime and combating illegal activities. By enhancing police skills, strengthening proactive operations, and building strong community partnerships, the National Capital Region Police Office continues to ensure seamless efforts in making neighborhoods safer across Metro Manila under the leadership of Police Major General Anthony A Aberin, Regional Director, NCRPO.
