Caloocan City — A successful implementation of Search Warrant led to the arrest of a 42-year-old male suspect and the seizure of large volumes of counterfeit dishwashing products on May 15, 2025, at No. 26 Moscow Street, Barangay 167, Caloocan City.
The operation, which began at around 12:15 PM and concluded at 2:00 PM, was spearheaded by the Investigation and Detective Management Section (IDMS) of the Caloocan City Police Station under the leadership of PMAJ Edward G Samonte. The effort was supported by the Warrant and Subpoena Section, led by PLT Joselito S Barredo Jr., and conducted under the supervision of PCOL Paul Jady D Doles, Chief of Police.
A total of 116 pieces of 14-liter and 2 pieces of 2-liter imitated “Sik-sik Do-It-Yourself” dishwashing paste in assorted flavors were recovered during the operation at the A.W.A.M.C. Online Shop. The suspect, who was present at the premises, was arrested after being informed of his rights. He was brought to Caloocan City Medical Center for medical examination and later to the police station for further investigation.
The entire police operation was documented using body-worn cameras to ensure transparency.
All necessary documents are now being prepared for the filing of appropriate charges against the arrested individual for violation of RA 8293 (Intellectual Property Code of the Philippines).
