July 21, 2025 | Caloocan City — In a swift and decisive police operation, operatives of Sub-Station 9, Caloocan City Police Station (SS-9, CCPS), arrested a 51-year-old male suspect for violation of Article 282 of the Revised Penal Code (Grave Threat) and Republic Act 10591 (Illegal Possession of Firearm and Ammunition) inside a construction site in Barangay 173, Caloocan City.

Initial investigation disclosed that at around 2:00 PM of July 20, 2025, the suspect stormed into a construction site where two male victims were watching a replay of a boxing match. He was allegedly searching for his wife while holding a firearm. After a brief verbal exchange, he left but returned twice more, each time escalating his aggression. On his third return at around 4:00 PM, he confronted a female vendor and allegedly issued a chilling threat in the vernacular, “Basta malaman kong kasabwat kayo ng asawa ko, papatayin ko kayong lahat.” Fearing for their lives, the victims reported the incident to barangay officials and subsequently to the police.

Responding officers from Sub Station 9, arrived at the scene and found the suspect still present. He was immediately placed under arrest. Seized from his possession were a .22 caliber Astra Unceta pistol, a magazine loaded with five live rounds, a black leather holster, and an extreme pepper spray.

The suspect was turned over to the Investigation and Detective Management Section-North (IDMS-North) at about 8:30 PM of the same day. The case probers are currently preparing the necessary documents for the filing of appropriate criminal complaints in preparation for inquest proceedings.
