Malabon City — In a determined stride towards a drug-free community, operatives from the Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) of Malabon City Police Station under the leadership of Police Colonel Jay B Baybayan, Chief of Police, successfully arrested two drug suspects during a buy-bust operation conducted at around 2:00 AM on May 24, 2025, along C. Perez Street corner Samaton Street, Barangay Tonsuya, Malabon City.
The arrested suspects were identified by their aliases ENTENG, a 28-year-old construction worker and resident of Malabon, and BEBENG, a 27-year-old jobless individual also from the same City. ENTENG is not listed in the drug watchlist while BEBENG is a known listed drug personality.
The operation, carried out in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), led to the seizure of approximately 12.5 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated Standard Drug Price (SDP) of ₱85,000.00. Confiscated evidence includes four (4) small heat-sealed plastic sachets containing white crystalline substance, all marked and signed by the arresting officers.
The suspects are facing charges for violations of Section 5 (Sale) in relation to Section 26 (Conspiracy) and Section 11 (Possession of Dangerous Drugs) under Article II of Republic Act 9165, otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Police Brigadier General Josefino D Ligan, District Director of the Northern Police District, lauded the commitment and swift response of the operatives, stating: “Our operatives’ swift action and thorough preparation played a key role in this success. This is proof that with unity and resolve, we can strike hard against illegal drugs.”
