At approximately 1:00 PM on May 13, 2025, the Northern Police District’s District Special Operation Unit (DSOU), led by PMAJ Marvin M Villanueva, successfully implemented Search Warrant at No. 59 Victoneta Avenue, Barangay Potrero, Malabon City. The warrant, signed by Hon. Pedro T. Dabu Jr., Acting Presiding Judge of RTC-Branch 74, Malabon City, was executed in connection with a violation of RA 8293, the Intellectual Property Code of the Philippines.

The operation targeted suspects, a 62-year-old female supervisor and resident of No. 90 P. Aquino Brgy., Longos Malabon and a 49-year-old female business owner of 3m Garments based in Caloocan; and Eugene Chua, a Chinese national and owner of 3m Garments, located at the address where the search was conducted. Eugene Chua remains at large.

During the operation, police recovered a substantial quantity of counterfeit items, including voluminous stocks of “Alfa 1 Brief,” “Amazing Panty,” “Amazing Bra,” labels and patterns of “Personal Collections,” receipts, and various transaction documents. Additionally, a total of thirty-two (32) sewing machines, four (4) cutting machines, and two (2) heat press machines were seized. These items are suspected to be part of an illegal operation involving the manufacturing of counterfeit products.

The search and seizure operation was conducted with full transparency, witnessed by Mr. Jose Maria Calvendra, PCDIS Representative, Ismael Santos, Media Representative, and Kagawad Walter Guevarra of Barangay Potrero, Malabon City. Proper documentation was carried out using body-worn cameras and alternative devices to ensure accuracy and compliance with legal protocols.

The arrested suspects were promptly transported to Ospital ng Malabon for medical and physical examination. Following this, they were brought to the DSOU office for further documentation and filing of appropriate charges before the Office of the City Prosecutor.

This operation highlights the continued effectiveness of the NCRPO’s AAA Strategy—Able, Active, and Allied. Through this holistic approach, NCRPO is not only enhancing police skills and operations but also fostering strong partnerships with local communities to combat illegal activities. Under the leadership of Police Major General Anthony A Aberin, NCRPO remains steadfast in its mission to ensure safer and more secure communities.
