Caloocan City — Four drug personalities, including a high-value target (HVT) and three newly identified individuals, were arrested in a successful anti-illegal drug buy-bust operation conducted by operatives of Caloocan City Police Station’s Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) under the leadership of Police Colonel Paul Jady D Doles, Chief of Police, in the early hours of May 2, 2025.

At around 1:20 a.m., the buy-bust operation was conducted at No. 132 Birds of Paradise Street, Libis Nadurata, Barangay 18, Caloocan City. The operation resulted in the arrest of the following suspects: alias “Kosa,” a 46-year-old male tricycle driver; alias “Bekbek,” a 30-year-old jobless female; alias “Malou,” a 46-year-old jobless woman from Tondo, Manila; and alias “Cris,” a 45-year-old pedicab driver, also from Tondo.

The operatives seized five (5) small heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu, one of which was the subject of sale. The total weight of the confiscated white crystalline substance is estimated at approximately 50 grams, with a standard drug price (SDP) of PHP 340,000.00. Authorities also recovered one genuine PHP 500 bill and six pieces of boodle money in PHP 1,000 denominations used as buy-bust money, along with a yellow sling bag. The suspects will face appropriate charges for violations of Sections 5, 11, and 26, Article II of Republic Act 9165 or the “Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.”

This accomplishment underscores the effectiveness of the NCRPO’s AAA Strategy—Able, Active, and Allied—a holistic approach to reducing crime and combating illegal drug activities. Police Brigadier General Josefino D Ligan, District Director of the Northern Police District, commended the dedication and coordination of the Caloocan City Police Station operatives along with all operating teams involved in the successful operation.
