Caloocan City — A 39-year-old male murder accused, known by the alias “Manuel”, was successfully arrested on June 1, 2025, at around 3:30 PM at Barangay 176, Bagong Silang, Caloocan City.

The operation was carried out by the District Special Operations Unit (DSOU) in coordination with the Warrant and Subpoena Section (WSS) and PS4 Novaliches Police Station, in execution of a warrant of arrest issued by Hon. Elenitan E. Macatangay-Alviar, Presiding Judge of Branch 121, Regional Trial Court, Third Judicial Region, Meycauayan, Bulacan. The accused is facing charges for Murder under Article 248 of the Revised Penal Code, with no bail recommended.

During the arrest, the accused was informed of the nature of his apprehension and was duly apprised of his constitutional rights in a language he understood. He chose to remain silent. The use of an Alternative Recording Device to ensured proper documentation of the police procedure.

The suspect is now under the custody of the Northern Police District Custodial Facility Unit (NPDCFU), located along Langaray Street, Kaunlaran Village, Barangay 14, Caloocan City. Preparation for the return of the Warrant of Arrest to the issuing court is currently underway.

Police Brigadier General Josefino D Ligan, District Director of the Northern Police District, commended the District Special Operation Unit for the swift and proper execution of the court’s order.
