Navotas City – In a decisive law enforcement operation, joint personnel of the Warrant and Subpoena Section of the Navotas City Police Station (NCPS) and Sub-Station 1 under the leadership of Police Colonel Mario C Cortes, Chief of Police, successfully arrested a 57-year-old male accused for Violation of Section 10 (A) of Republic Act 7610 (Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation, and Discrimination Act), at around 9:00 AM on May 9, 2025, along M. Naval Street, Brgy. Sipac-Almacen, Navotas City.
The accused a tricycle driver and resident of Building 7, 101 Pabahay, Sampaguita Street, Brgy. Tanza, Navotas City, was arrested by virtue of a warrant issued by Hon. Cecilia Bunagan Parallag, Presiding Judge of RTC Branch 9-FC, Navotas City, dated February 11, 2025, with a recommended bail of Php 80,000.00.
The operation was executed with full compliance to legal protocols, utilizing Body-Worn Camera (BWC) and Alternative Recording Device (ARD) model NOVA7i, ensuring transparency and accountability during the arrest.
The accused is currently detained at the Custodial Facility Unit of NCPS, while the Return of Warrant is being prepared to notify the issuing court of origin.
