Malabon City – In a swift operation, operatives of the Malabon City Police Station under the leadership of Police Colonel Jay B Baybayan, Chief of Police, successfully arrested a 23-year-old male accused listed as No. 7 in the Northern Police District’s Top Ten Most Wanted Persons (District Level) and No. 7 in the Malabon CPS Station Level Most Wanted List—for the month of May 2025.
The arrest took place at around 12:45 PM on May 1, 2025, at Palmario Street, Barangay Tonsuya, Malabon City. The accused, a resident and farm helper from the same barangay, was apprehended by virtue of a Warrant of Arrest issued by Hon. Catherine Therese M Tagle-Salvador, Presiding Judge of RTC Branch 73, Malabon City, for Violation of Section 4(b) of Republic Act No. 11930 (Anti-Online Sexual Abuse or Exploitation Materials [CSAEM] Act). The warrant, dated April 8, 2025, carried no recommended bail.
To ensure transparency during the arrest, an Alternative Recording Device (ARD)—Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G was utilized in compliance with standard operating procedures.
Following the arrest, the accused was brought to Ospital ng Malabon for medical examination and later turned over to the Malabon CPS Custodial Facility for temporary confinement, pending the issuance of a commitment order from the court of origin.
