In a significant accomplishment in the fight against criminality, joint personnel of the Northern Police District successfully arrested a Top Most Wanted Person (TMWP) tagged at both the provincial and municipal levels during a manhunt operation conducted at around 9:30 PM on May 7, 2025, along Llano Road, Barangay 169, Caloocan City.

The arrested individual, a 65-year-old male known by the alias “Tata Peter,” was wanted for multiple heinous crimes including Rape (Article 266-A) in relation to Republic Act 7610, otherwise known as the Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act. The accused faces four counts of rape with no bail recommended and one count of acts of lasciviousness in relation to RA 7610, for which bail was set at ₱80,000. These charges were issued by Hon. Bernardo Rivera Jimenez, Executive Judge of RTC Branch 54 in Gubat, Sorsogon, on September 24, 2021. The accused had been listed in the Department of the Interior and Local Government’s Most Wanted Persons list, with a monetary reward of ₱160,000.00 for his capture.

The operation was carried out by the Intelligence Section of the District Mobile Force Battalion (DMFB) under the leadership of Police Colonel Renante F Pinuela, Force Commander, in coordination with the Technical Support Division of the Intelligence Group and the Gubat Municipal Police Station headed by PCPT Veronica Jones O Palo. Utilizing advanced tracking capabilities and with the aid of an Alternative Recording Device (ARD)—an iPhone 11 Pro the team was able to successfully locate and apprehend the suspect without incident.

Following his arrest, the suspect was brought to the Caloocan City Medical Center for medical and physical examination and was later turned over to the Northern Police District Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit for investigation. He is currently under temporary custody at the NPDCFU while the necessary documents are being prepared for the return of the warrant to the court of origin.

This accomplishment underscores the effectiveness of the NCRPO’s AAA Strategy—Able, Active, and Allied—a holistic approach to reducing crime and combating illegal activities. By enhancing police skills, conducting proactive operations, and building strong community partnerships, the NCRPO continues to ensure seamless efforts to prevent crime and promote safer neighborhoods across Metro Manila, under the leadership of Police Major General Anthony A Aberin, Regional Director of NCRPO.

Police Brigadier General Josefino D Ligan, District Director of the Northern Police District, commended the Caloocan City Police Station for their unwavering commitment to law enforcement and the relentless pursuit of justice
