VALENZUELA CITY – A 56-year-old male construction worker, known by the alias “Roberto,” was arrested by operatives of the Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) of the Valenzuela City Police Station during a successful buy-bust operation conducted at around 9:10 PM on May 17, 2025, along Daez St., Brgy. Karuhatan, Valenzuela City. The operation was conducted under the strong leadership of PCOL Relly Bagasin Arnedo, Officer-in-Charge of VCPS, and with the Coordination of Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), and the use of body-worn cameras (BWC).

The suspect alias “Roberto,” was apprehended after selling a heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing suspected shabu to a poseur-buyer, in exchange for marked buy-bust money. Upon his arrest and subsequent frisking by authorities recovered from his possession four additional heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu, a genuine PHP 500 bill used as marked money, seven pieces of PHP 1,000 boodle money, two pieces of PHP 100 bills, and a green coin purse. All evidence recovered were properly marked and documented on site.

The seized illegal drugs, with a total weight of more or less 22 grams and an estimated standard drug price (SDP) of PHP 149,600, will be submitted for forensic examination. The suspect was turned over to the custody of the SDEU and subsequently received by the Investigation Officer on Case (IOC).

Criminal complaints for violation of Sections 5 and 11, Article II of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 are being prepared for filing through inquest proceedings before the Valenzuela City Prosecutor’s Office.
