In a significant accomplishment for law enforcement efforts operatives of the Northern Police District – District Special Operations Unit (DSOU), in coordination with the National Capital Region Intelligence Team – Regional Intelligence Unit NCR (NDIT-RIU NCR) and the Warrant and Subpoena Section of Caloocan City Police Station (WSS-CCPS), successfully arrested a 44-year-old male suspect listed as a Most Wanted Person by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), with a reward of Php130,000.00 for his capture.

The operation, conducted at approximately 2:00 PM on May 29, 2025, led to the apprehension of the suspect at his residence located at Barangay 178, Caloocan City. The suspect, tagged as No. 2 in the District Level Top Ten Most Wanted Persons (TTMWP) and No. 3 in the Station Level TTMWP for May 2025, was wanted for the heinous crime of Rape under Article 266-A of the Revised Penal Code (RPC) and Acts of Lasciviousness under Article 335 of the RPC, in relation to Section 5(B) of Republic Act 7610, otherwise known as the Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act.

The arrest was made by virtue of a warrant issued by Hon. Judge Barbare Aleli Hernandez Briones, Presiding Judge of Family Court Branch 1 in Caloocan City, dated June 7, 2022. The serving of the warrant was carried out under the approved COPLAN ALFEO, using Alternative Recording Devices (ARD), including a Redmi Note11 Pro and an iPhone 14, to ensure transparency and compliance with operational protocols. By 2:30 PM, the suspect was officially turned over to the custody of the DSOU office, where he remains detained.

This accomplishment underscores the effectiveness of the NCRPO’s AAA Strategy—Able, Active, and Allied—a holistic approach to reducing crime and combating illegal drug activities. By enhancing police competencies, conducting proactive operations, and strengthening community partnerships, the National Capital Region Police Office remains steadfast in its mission to ensure public safety and foster secure communities across Metro Manila under the leadership of Police Major General Anthony A Aberin, Regional Director, NCRPO.

Police Brigadier General Josefino D Ligan, District Director of the Northern Police District, lauded the efforts of the DSOU personnel for their diligence and teamwork in bringing another wanted person to justice, reaffirming the NPD’s dedication to protecting the public and upholding the rule of law.
