Malabon City— Two drug suspects identified only by their aliases Aries (28, male) and Jerome (26, male) fell into the hands of authorities during a successful buy-bust operation conducted by the Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) of Malabon City Police Station on July 20, 2025, at around 11:30 PM at Barangay San Agustin, Malabon City.
The operation stemmed from surveillance and coordination with PDEA. Arresting effected the arrest of Aries, a listed drug pusher, and Jerome, a non-listed target but caught in the act, after selling illegal drugs to a poseur buyer.
Confiscated from the suspects were three small heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu, weighing approximately 7.0 grams, with a Standard Drug Price (SDP) of Php 47,600.00. Witnesses to the inventory and documentation included a media representative and a barangay official.
The arrested suspects are now under police custody as appropriate charges for violation of R.A. 9165 are being prepared for filing.
This arrest is a testament to our commitment to public safety and our relentless pursuit of justice,” said Police Brigadier General Jerry V Protacio, Acting District Director of the Northern Police District, who commended the operating teams for their swift and decisive action, resulting in the capture of a listed drug personality.
This accomplishment underscores the effectiveness of NCRPO’s AAA Strategy—Able, Active, and Allied—a holistic approach to reducing crime and apprehending wanted persons. Through strengthened operational capability, proactive policing, and active community engagement, the NCRPO under the leadership of Police Major General Anthony A Aberin continues to make Metro Manila communities safer.
