In the early hours of July 11, 2025, a successful anti-illegal drug operationconducted by the Northern Police District – District Drug Enforcement Unit (NPD-DDEU) led to the arrest of two drug suspects identified by their aliases “BAKS” and “TAKOY” at Barangay 133, Caloocan City. The operation, which commenced at around 4:45 AM that resulted in the seizure of more or less 75 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated standard drug price of Php 510,000.00.
Alias “BAKS,” a 67-year-old female and resident of Barangay 143, Caloocan City, and alias “TAKOY,” a 46-year-old male resident of the target address, were both considered High-Value Individuals (HVI) involved in the illegal drug trade, although not previously listed in watchlists. Both suspectsare jobless and believed to have been actively engaged in selling illegal drugs in the area.
The buy-bust operation was carried out by NPD-DDEU,. The operation was conducted in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), covered by Coordination. The confiscated drug evidence was properly marked and documented at the scene, bearing identifying labels and the signatures of the seizing officers affixed on masking tape.
The suspects will be facing formal complaints for violation of Section 5 (Sale) in relation to Section 26 (Conspiracy) and Section 11 (Possession of Dangerous Drugs) under Article II of Republic Act 9165, otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. The case will be referred to the City Prosecutor’s Office for inquest proceedings.
This accomplishment highlights the effective implementation of the NCRPO’s AAA Strategy—Able, Active, and Allied—a holistic crime-fighting approach focused on enhancing police skills, proactive law enforcement, and strong community partnerships, under the leadership of Police Major General Anthony A Aberin, Regional Director of the NCRPO.
