In a determined pursuit to eliminate illegal drug activities, two male suspects were arrested by personnel of the Caloocan City Police Station, Sta. Quiteria Sub-Station 6, under the leadership of Police Colonel Paul Jady D Doles, Chief of Police, along West Service Road, Brgy. 160, Caloocan City, at around 5:30 PM on May 28, 2025.
The suspects, identified only by their aliases “Pibrico,” 32-year-old, male a company helper residing in Brgy. 160, and “Danilo,” 58-year-old male, a construction worker from Caloocan City, were caught in the act of exchanging a plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance believed to be shabu. Upon being approached by the police, both suspects attempted to flee despite clear verbal warnings. A brief foot chase ensued, leading to their successful apprehension.
Seized from their possession were three heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing approximately 12 grams of suspected shabu, with an estimated Standard Drug Price (SDP) of Php 81,600.00. The suspects were subsequently turned over to the Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) for proper disposition and filing of appropriate charges for violation of Article 151 of the Revised Penal Code (Resistance and Disobedience to a Person in Authority) and Section 11, Article II of R.A. 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
This accomplishment underscores the effectiveness of the NCRPO’s AAA Strategy—Able, Active, and Allied—a holistic approach to reducing crime and combating illegal drug activities. By enhancing police capabilities, maintaining proactive operations, and strengthening community partnerships, the NCRPO under the leadership of Police Major General Anthony A Aberin, Regional Director, ensures a unified and aggressive stance against crime across Metro Manila.
Police Brigadier General Josefino D Ligan, District Director of the Northern Police District, commended the vigilance and dedication of the Caloocan City Police personnel for their swift and decisive action, which contributes to creating safer and drug-free communities.
