Caloocan City – In a continued show of vigilance and commitment to public safety, personnel of Cadena De Amor Police Sub-Station 11, Caloocan City Police Station, Police Colonel Paul Jady D Doles, Chief of Police, arrested a 26-year-old male construction worker for illegal possession of a firearm early Friday morning, April 25, 2025, in Sitio Matarik, Brgy 175, Camarin, Caloocan City.

The suspect was apprehended at around 12:10 AM after police responded to reports of a commotion in the area. Acting swiftly, the arresting officers found the suspect in possession of a caliber .38 revolver to possess the firearm-a particularly serious offense given that the arrest took place during the election period.

Appropriate charges are now being prepared for violation of Republic Act 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act) in relation to Batas Pambansa Blg. 881 (Omnibus Election Code of the Philippines)

This accomplishment underscores the effectiveness of the National Capital Region Police Office’s (NCRPO) AAA Strategy—Able, Active, and Allied—a holistic approach to reducing crime and combating illegal activities. By enhancing personnel capabilities, conducting proactive operations, and strengthening community ties, the NCRPO under the leadership of Police Major General Anthony A Aberin, Regional Director, continues to demonstrate its resolve in promoting safety across Metro Manila.

Police Brigadier General Josefino D Ligan, District Director of the Northern Police District, lauded the efforts of the Caloocan City Police Station and CDA Sub-Station 11. “This kind of swift and dedicated police action reflects the mission of the NPD to ensure our communities remain safe and free from crime,” he stated.

The Northern Police District remains firm in its commitment to protect and serve, working hand-in-hand with communities toward a safer, more secure CAMANAVA.
