Caloocan City – In a successful law enforcement operation, operatives of the District Special Operations Unit (DSOU), Northern Police District (NPD), arrested a male suspect known by the alias “Tata”, a 33-yaer-old male wanted for the crime of homicide. The arrest took place at around 4:00 PM at House No. 28 F, Miramonte Park Subdivision, West Barangay 180, Caloocan City.

Acting on a duly issued warrant of arrest the DSOU served the warrant signed by Hon. Gorgonio Balbastro Elarmo Jr., Presiding Judge of RTC Branch 77, Malolos City, Bulacan. The court had recommended bail in the amount of Php 120,000.00 for the case. To ensure transparency and accountability during the operation, an Alternative Recording Device (ARD) was used.

At approximately 6:00 PM on April 28, 2025, the accused was formally turned over to the DSOU office. He is now under custody at the Northern Police District Custodial Facility Unit (NPDCFU) located at Langaray Street, Kaunlaran Village, Barangay 14, Caloocan City. Meanwhile, the return of the warrant is currently being prepared for submission to the issuing court.

This accomplishment underscores the effectiveness of the NCRPO’s AAA Strategy—Able, Active, and Allied—a holistic and proactive approach to crime reduction and peacekeeping through the enhancement of personnel capabilities, intensified police presence, and strengthened community partnership. The strategy is implemented under the decisive leadership of Police Major General Anthony A Aberin, Regional Director of the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO).

Police Brigadier General Josefino D Ligan, District Director of the Northern Police District, commended the operatives for their professionalism and the District Special Operation Unit for their relentless pursuit of justice, reinforcing the district’s dedication to public safety and community trust.
