A man listed as Most Wanted Person (MWP) was arrested in an operation conducted by the District Special Operations Unit (DSOU) of the Northern Police District (NPD) at around 3:30 PM on May 9, 2025, along Jacinto Street, Pagasa, Barangay 175, Caloocan City.

The arrest was carried out by virtue of a warrant issued for the crime of rape by sexual assault under Article 266-A, released by Hon. Barbara Aleia Hernandez Briones, Presiding Judge of RTC Branch 1, Caloocan City. The warrant, dated May 2, 2024, was served for the implementation of the sentence.

To ensure transparency, the operation was documented using an Alternative Recording Device (ARD)

The arrested accused was brought to Caloocan City Medical Center (CCMC) for medical and physical examination. He was then turned over to the District Special Operations Unit office for investigation and later transferred to the Northern Police District Custodial Facility Unit (NPDCFU) for temporary detention, pending the return of the warrant to the court of origin.

This successful operation is a clear reflection of the effectiveness of the NCRPO’s AAA Strategy—Able, Active, and Allied—a comprehensive approach focused on developing skilled personnel, conducting proactive police operations, and building strong ties with the community. Under the leadership of Police Major General Anthony A Aberin, Regional Director of the National Capital Region Police Office, this strategy continues to deliver results in reducing crime and strengthening peace and order throughout Metro Manila.

Police Brigadier General Josefino D Ligan, District Director of the Northern Police District, lauded the swift and professional actions of the DSOU operatives.
