Caloocan City – A jobless 22-year-old male was arrested in the early hours of May 13, 2025, for carrying an unlicensed firearm in Barangay 176-F, Bagong Silang, Caloocan City.
At around 3:00 AM, while patrolling the area of Phase 10A, Package 4, personnel from Sub-Station 12 of Caloocan City Police Station under the supervision of Police Colonel Paul Jady D Doles, Chief of Police, were alerted by a concerned citizen about a man seen carrying a firearm. The officers immediately responded, accompanied by the tipster.
Upon reaching the reported location, the police spotted the suspect visibly carrying a firearm. The lawmen cautiously approached and arrested the individual, recovering a caliber .38 revolver without a serial number and loaded with three live rounds.
The arrested person is now under police custody and will face charges for violation of R.A. 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulations Act) and Batas Pambansa 881 (Omnibus Election Code).
