Caloocan City — a man was arrested by Caloocan City Police Station under the supervision of Police Colonel Paul Jady D Doles, Chief of Police. On Sunday afternoon, May 4, 2025, after attempting to flee a routine checkpoint. He was later found in possession of an unlicensed firearm.
Around 3:50 PM, personnel from the Tactical Motorcycle Riding Unit (TMRU) North, Sector 1, were conducting Oplan Sita along P. Dela Cruz, Sitio Gitna, Brgy. 166, Caloocan City when they flagged down a motorcycle rider for not wearing a helmet. Instead of stopping, the rider attempted to speed away but lost control and fell.
Police quickly responded and placed the suspect under arrest. A search of the individual led to the recovery of a .38 caliber ARMSCOR revolver loaded with five live rounds, found inside a green belt bag. The motorcycle, a green Yamaha Mio Sporty, was also confiscated.
The arrested individual was brought to Caloocan City Medical Center for a medical examination and is now under police custody. He is facing charges for Violation of Article 151 of the Revised Penal Code (Disobedience to Authority) and Violation of R.A. 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act) in relation to B.P. 881 (Omnibus Election Code of the Philippines).
