Navotas City – A successful implementation of a search warrant led to the arrest of a male suspect and the seizure of an unlicensed firearm and live ammunition in Brgy. Sipac-Almacen, Navotas City on April 29, 2025.
At around 2:17 PM, joint operatives of the Navotas City Police Stations Intelligence Section, Sub-Station 3, Tactical Motorcycle Riding Unit (TMRU), and SWAT, under the supervision of Police Colonel Mario C Cortes, Chief of Police, carried out Search Warrant at No. 147 P. Devera St., Pitong Gatang.
Recovered from the suspect’s residence were one (1) unit of .38 caliber revolver, silver with a brown handle, without a serial number, and four (4) live ammunitions of the same caliber. All confiscated items were marked and signed by the seizing officer.
The warrant was issued by Hon. Vice Executive Judge Romana M.M.P. Lindayag Del Rosario, Presiding Judge of RTC Branch 287, Navotas City, for violation of Republic Act 10591 or the Comprehensive Law on Firearms and Ammunition.
The suspect is now under police custody, and the case has been referred to the Office of the City Prosecutor for inquest proceedings. The search warrant, with the recovered evidence, will be returned to the issuing court.
