In response to the immediate needs of the community, PBGEN JERRY V PROTACIO, Acting District Director of the Northern Police District (NPD), along with his personnel, immediately responded to assist stranded commuters after flash floods caused by heavy rains.

In their swift action, the NPD ensured the safety, order, and orderly evacuation of affected individuals. Approximately 70 to 100 people were assisted with free rides to safer places, as part of the police service initiative.

At the same time, the police reminded the public of the importance of preparedness and precaution, especially during times of disaster. Such measures are a testament to the NPD’s diligent service and genuine concern for the community.

“The police are not just law enforcers. We are also here to serve and help our fellow citizens, especially in times of danger. The safety of all is our main goal,”

The said step is proof of the strong relationship between the police and the community towards a safe and orderly community.
