Valenzuela City – A significant victory in the campaign against wanted persons was recorded with the arrest of a 26-year-old man wanted for rape. He ranked as the No. 3 Top Most Wanted Person in the Mandaon Municipal Police Station (MPS) list, Masbate Police Provincial Office (PPO), and was arrested at around 3:30 PM on May 13, 2025, in Valenzuela City.
The operation was carried out by personnel from the Bignay Police Sub-Station 7 of the Valenzuela City Police Station, in coordination with Mandaon MPS, Masbate PPO, after a HIT was flagged in the e-Warrant System while the suspect was applying for a National Police Clearance at Sub-Station 7.
The suspect, a factory worker and resident of Gen. T. De Leon, Valenzuela City, is facing an Arrest Warrant for the crime of Rape, issued by Hon. Ave A. Zurbito-Alba, Presiding Judge of RTC Branch 48, Masbate City, on August 9, 2024. No bail has been recommended for his temporary liberty.
The arrest was documented using a Body-Worn Camera (BWC) as part of compliance with the established standards for police operations. The suspect was brought to the Valenzuela City Health Department for a medical examination and is currently in the custody of the Custodial Facility Unit of the Valenzuela City Police Station while awaiting the formal return of the warrant to the originating court.

Police Brigadier General Josefino D Ligan, District Director of the Northern Police District, commended the District Special Operations Unit for their swift action and solid coordination, which resulted in the successful arrest of the wanted person.
